Capturing Care Management for SaH Claims
Providers must ensure that a care partner delivers or oversees care management for each participant. This activity needs to be recorded as evidence that care management is being provided.
To make this process easier, we’ve introduced Case Management Entry. This feature allows care partners to quickly and accurately capture care management activities. Recording this information is essential for providers who wish to claim under the SaH module in TurnPoint.
Please note:
- Care management must be captured as an activity in the system for you to claim under SaH. (but does not need to be captured in budget)
- The system will not automatically calculate the 10% and apply it to your claim.
- This feature is available by request to our support team.
This is a brand new module within TurnPoint aimed at capturing three components of a Case Management action:
- Case Management Billing
- Case Management Consumption
- Case Management Case Management Note
Accessing the Case Management Feature
To access the Case Management Feature your company will first need to be enabled for the new TurnPoint Appointments module. Almost all providers have been migrated across, however some still keep the original appointments module due to custom once off features. If this is you please reach out to the support team and you need this feature.
You can access the Case Management Feature using the quick access menu:
Case Management Appointment Generation
This component of the Case Management Feature acts in the same way as an appointment in TurnPoint. It records; Client, Package, Service Type, Worker and Time.
Start/End times
The Worker and Time are prefilled with the logged in User and the Current Time minus 1 hour. Update both as required and make sure to fill in the other details.
Service type
The service type needs to be set-up with the relevant settings for it to show.
Within the service type select - Enable Case Management Usage = Y (image below):
Case Management Note
This is the simple open text inputs that will be added into the clients Notes module as a Case Management entry once the appointment is added. Simply fill out this section with required notes of the Case Management session.
Once the appointment is added, you will see the note within the Client Module and when you click into the note you will see the details of the note including a reference to which appointment it came from.
Note Template
TurnPoint has added a feature allowing users to setup a company wide note template for Case Management notes.
To access, simply jump into adding a Case Management Note and click the cog icon in the top right:
From here you can add in any format you want (note that TurnPoint only accepts simple text) and click save:
This note will then preload on every new Case Management entry
