11. Apply Award Updates including Rate Changes

Ensure that you have finalised your STP within TurnPoint Pay BEFORE starting this process

An update for July 2025 is now available

As we approach the End of Financial Year we know there have been changes across Awards in all industries.

TurnPoint Pay has the functionality to Auto-Update and apply these changes, however it is important to understand when,how and what gets updated before doing so.

Updating Awards

TurnPoint Pay will provide notifications on your dashboard when updates are ready to be applied for installed Awards. Click on the Apply Updates to be taken to the Award Update Screen:

TurnPoint Pay will then ask you what you wish to update, choose the options you wish to update and click Install. (Please check the tab below for things to be aware of before processing)

Things to be Aware of

It is important to understand what this process does and how it affects your business and payroll.

• Updates are immediate - As soon as you press install all changes including rates will be immediate. It is therefore important to update the rates when you are ready to do so. For more advice when rates need to be increased we suggest speaking with a qualified payroll consultant or accountant.
• Updates will override manual overrides you have entered into the system. As an example, if you have customised a pay-rate or allowances these will be converted back to the Award standard even if you were paying above award.
  
  Some providers may choose to only apply rule changes and keep pay rates to go and manually check later.
